2018 Scout Exchange @ Chiang Mai, Thailand

It’s our annual overseas exchange once again! This time, we are flying all the way to the ‘land of smiles’- Thailand!

We are indeed fortunate to be hosted by our Thai friends from Suanboonyopatham Lamphun School for a wonderful scouting experience!

Scouting indeed has no boundaries!

NPC X

Dragon Scouts did not disappoint as both the boys and girls patrol continue to bring in Gold during the 10th National Patrol Camp (NPC) held from 15 Nov to 19 Nov.

This is the 4th time that both the Dragon Boys and Dragon Girls clinched the Gold award in NPC since 2011.

Often referred to as the “Mother of all Competitions” of the Singapore Scouts, the NPC is a biennial event where Scout Units gather to challenge themselves and each other in a series of Scouting skills, striving for the coveted “Chief Commissioner’s Challenge Shield” and be conferred the title of the “Best Singapore Scout Patrol”.

7 April 2018 marked an important event for all as we launched our DSG95 book. A book titled ‘The Dragon Xperience’ which covered the past 10 years of our journey as Dragon Scouts and importantly the great event we had as we celebrated DSG95 in 2017.

Today also marked the day we celebrate our 96th anniversary with a memorable campfire.

The girls team comprised of Aneesa, Nicole, Jasmine Tan, Charmaine Lau, Jeslyn, Christine, Shana Brij led by SPL Desiree Tan.

All these will not have been possible if not for the great leaders, rovers and ventures whom have guided them well these past few months. Not to forget the sub camp staff whom keep them ‘accompanied’ throughout the camp.   P1010410   Catch more on NPC 2013 Facebook !

National Youth Achievement Award Gold Award Presentation Ceremony 2013

In 2013 we are proud to announce that 6 of our Dragon Scouts attain the pinnacle award of National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA)

They are Goh Sihui, Ng Lay Wen Janice, Soh Wei Bin, Toh Hui Min Cassandra, Wong Hui Min and Yip Tsun Hang Gavin.

This is the first time that our Dragon Scouts have 6 members attaining NYAA (Gold) on the same year.

This will not be possible without much guidance and effort from the leaders and more importantly Ken Ong who created the history for Dragon Scouts by being the first to attain NYAA (Gold) in 2008.

Congratulation to all and Onward Dragon Scouts !!!

More photos will be uploaded soon.

We are 90 !!!

14th April 2012, we celebrated our 90 years of scouting with a campfire.

We are honored to have Ms Indranee Rajah, MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC (Tanglin-Cairnhill) as our Guest-of-Honour together with our Vice-Principal, Mrs Ghapar. In addition, Mr Tan Cheng Kiong, The Singapore Scout Association Chief Commissioner who is also a member of the Dragon Chapter, came along to join in the celebration. The campfire theme was ‘The spirit of the Red and Green’ which were also the colour of our unit scarf and the school colour. The theme was chosen to illustrate the strong ties we have with the school over the years and to show the spirit of Dragon Scouts during the campfire.

More photos will be uploaded in our gallery and in the meantime, catch some of the highlights here.
