Would like to wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year! Gong Xi Fa Ca and wishing everyone a prosperous New Year in the Year of the Dragon! Remember we had a poll previously on whether to have a mobile app for this website? Well, I have not created an app so far but there is something close. Imagine viewing Dragons Online! on your smartphone like a magazine with sync features? Look to Google Current! You can find us by searching “Dragon Scouts” or by directing your mobile browser to this link. I shall not explain how Google Current works but leave you to understand from the video below. This is how it will look like on your phone: Edit: I realised the app (Android & iOS) is only available for the US market. For Android, you can download the Google Currents (version 1.0.1) app here directly instead and install on your phone. This is downloaded from the Android Market (via my phone) so you can trust the file to be safe. For iOS, it is not available for now unfortunately as iPhone does not allow apps outside of the App Store to be installed. An entire has passed and a new year approaches. As we approach (and celebrate) our 90 years of Dragon Scouting, I would like to wish everyone a New Year 2012! Enjoy the below New Year song by ABBA. Would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! Have a great holiday ahead but remember to share and give to the less fortunate and less privileged in this season of giving. Enjoy the below video and snow (on the website) We are proud to update that our Dragons continue to strive hard and ever ONWARD in the recent National Patrol Camp 2011 as BOTH our boys and girls teams clinched GOLD ! A total of 49 teams took part in this widely referred to as the ‘Mother of all Competitions’ and sweated it out for the past 5 days 4 nights in Sarimbun Scout Camp from 24 Nov to 28 Nov 2011. Our boys team was led by SPL Kenner Yeo with members Lee Silin, Alexander Koh, Clement Yeo, Melvin Lai, Eugene Yeo, Reynard Seah and Matthew Leung. Our girls team was led by SPL Cheah Guan Ying with members Amelia Ng, Hayley, Jannah, Cheah Liying, Shana, Tan Ee Me and Desiree Tan. Our Dragons probably created history by achieving GOLD for BOTH boys and girls team and in addition probably the first to be awarded Gold for a girl patrol. Well done, Dragons and ONWARD ! A note of thanks must also be given to Rover Yeo Choon Lian and Venture Xavier Yeo for guiding both the teams in their journey towards excellence ! Thank you !
Once again the Dragon Scouts successfully organised the Queenstown District Cub Scout day themed ‘DOTA’ which means ‘Delightful Occasion, Together Always’ We will also like to take this opportunity to thank Gan Eng Seng Dragon Cubs, Radin Mas Dragon Cubs, River Valley Raven Cubs and Special thanks too to Mr William Tan, District Commissioner in gracing the event. Congratulation too to Radin Mas Dragon Cubs for successful in retaining the Champion Trophy four years running. Well done !!! Do take a peek in our gallery to find out more the District Sixer Training Camp and Cub Scout Day 2011 Anyone interested in a mobile app for this website?
