Edit: Kindly note the venture training scheme is version 2005, which is the previous revision. We are trying to obtain the latest copy. Once obtained, it will be uploaded.

Server error… Resolved

Between 5.30pm to 8pm Singapore time, the server was offline as our server was moved by our host for better performance but something went wrong which resulted in Dragons Online going haywire.

Things are still not in order yet and I am still trying to get them to resolve this with top priorty. I will post here again when everything is confirm resolved.

Meanwhile, please bear with the problem if you see any (some problems are in the backend so you might not notice it).

Edit 27 Sep 2008 @ 12.40pm: Gallery is not working at the moment but the photos are safe. Our webhost has not responded so I can’t do anything as well as it is beyond my control.

Edit 28 Sep 2008 @ 10.30pm: Everything is back to normal now. Got our server moved back to where it was previously. If you still see any errors, please let me know.

Cubs resources updated

Just wish to inform that the training schemes for cub scouts has been uploaded. Please refer to Resources page for the schemes.

If anyone has high quality images of cub scout badges, please send them to me as I would like to upload them here. Thanks.

ASPIRE 2nd Intake 12/2008

Dear Leaders,

We are pleased to inform you that the ASPIRE-2nd Intake will be conducted in the last quarter of the year for Venture Scouts who had achieved the Venture Cord and registered as a PresidentÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Scout Award Candidate.

A briefing for candidates will be held on 21st November 2008 at 7.30pm in the Scout HQ.Ã‚Â Candidates are to report in their Scout Uniform and they are required to bring along all original copies of their relevant certificates for certification.

All application forms together with registration fee must be submitted to the Scout HQ by 18th October 2008.Ã‚Â Late application will not be accepted.

Please see attached and kindly note the deadline.

Forums Mass Registration for Dragon Chapter

The mass registration for Dragon Chapter members is complete. The list is as following excel file:

Please note that the contact list is different from the member list of the yahoogroup as membership for that is “free-for-all” so I cannot use that as the contact list.

If your name is on the list but you didn’t receive the email, please contact me (refer to About for contact details).

Please note that I am currently doing a gallery upgrade to fix a security issue. For some unknown reason, the upgrade is taking longer than usual but other parts of the website isn’t as slow. If I cannot finish the upgrade by tonight, I may have to continue it tomorrow in office but that will mean the gallery is inaccessible tonight.

Majority done

Most part of the website is complete except the Resources. The Resources page is building up bit by bit but we will appreciate any additional contributions from anyone.

The mass registration for the Scout Unit was successful and it has also started for the Rovers. The Chapter will also begin its mass registration starting this weekend, provided nothing disrupts my plan =)

I have also incorporated some non-intrusive text ads on the website, hoping to generate some income/donation to off-set the hosting fees. While the sum is not huge, the intention is to allow Dragon Online! to be self-sustainable if possible.

Edit: Do try to help click on the ads once in a while as it helps the website to generate income, but don’t click more than once a day =) Thanks!

Notice that icon at the top right corner of our home page? That is the link to our newsfeed for the home page. The gallery also newsfeeds available too. Click here for the list of gallery newsfeeds.

Now, you may ask what is the use of newsfeeds? If you are someone who is too busy to visit Dragons Online! frequently to keep yourself updated, subscribing to newsfeeds helps to “push” our contents to your favourite newsfeed reader so that you only need to visit one location to keep yourself updated of all the news. I personally use Google Reader for my newsfeeds but you can use any other readers.

While our forums do not have newsfeeds, but you can subscribe to email notifications. For more information on forums email notification, click here.
